West Orange has a long history of planning, which has helped make it the desirable place it is to live. Today it is a vibrant community, but it is facing some challenges. The West Orange Planning Board is close to concluding the process of updating and supplementing the Township's Master Plan, which will provide a series of current recommendations for improving West Orange.

The West Orange Planning Board held a public meeting on the 2010 Master Plan Update at its meeting on June 2, 2010. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Planning Board voted to adopt the plan. The final adopted version of this plan is available for download on the Documents page.
